![]() The 6-power Bushnell Scope Chief functions just fine and features a fine crosshair. The rifle has a Unertl block forward of the scope that is 6.5-inches from center to center. The trigger guard metal is mismatched but in nice condition. The sporterized stock is in good shape and has a buttpad, pistol grip cap, onyx forend tip, and two swivel mounts - there is also nothing to worry about wood wise. The barrel measures 24-inches in length and the bore is bright and shiny with good rifling and no fouling or pitting - the Springfield stamp at the muzzle makes this a July 1925 dated rifle. The rifles metalwork is in great condition for its age and has not been refinished - it has no major concerns to note. This particular example has been turned into a sporting rifle. These were the standard issue military rifle during World War 1 for the United States. ![]() You are considering a vintage Sporter Springfield Model 1903.
